Final Year Project:
The course intends to enable students to apply knowledge from different areas or courses, which they have studied in their curriculum using methods, tools, and techniques, which they learned to a real-world scenario. It allows students to apply their engineering knowledge and proficiencies (hard skills), and demonstrate their competence in generic, professional skills (soft skills). It also emphasizes the importance of life-long learning as a fundamental attribute of graduate engineers.
The projects undertaken in IT department range from
research projects to applications catering to societal needs. Few of the novel
applications are also filed for patent.

CDAC Projects:
The Department of Information Technology has successfully contributed to ONLINE LABS (OLABS), developed by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham & CDACFunded by Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. This initiative was started in the year 2020, and till the current year 18 OLABS have been successfully completed and 8 more are ongoing in the current Academic Year. The initiative is based on the idea that lab experiments can be taught using the Internet, more efficiently and less expensively. Its content is aligned to NCERT/CBSE and State Board Syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Labs from Class 9 to Class 12 and includes interactive simulations, animations, and lab videos.
