Academic Year 2023-24

The Mechanical Engineering Department of Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering has repeatedly had successful years of placement ever since its inception. The department in association with the institute’s Placement cell continuously strives to groom students for the industry while assisting them in getting varied and suitable job opportunities, which has resulted in students being placed in multiple core MNC’s. The cutting-edge labs, industrial visits, seminars and webinars, workshops, value added programs, hands on experience gained while working for different student chapters and teams, provide students with the necessary industry-oriented skills, resulting in higher packages every year.

Higher education programmes aim at preparing students for different economic sectors, helping them to progress and succeed in today’s global economy. It is an extension of graduation and enhances the subject domain knowledge, understanding, analytical abilities and empowers students to exploit the greater opportunities available.
The Department in association with various student chapters organizes seminars and guest lectures to motivate, counsel and guide interested students in pursuing higher studies. The department had also organized a ‘Higher Education Fair’ in association with Imperial Overseas, to create awareness among students about various avenues for higher studies. The fair involved interaction with representatives of various eminent Universities/Institutions, one-to-one counselling sessions on preparations, and procedures for applying to their post-graduation programmes. Based on data submitted by our ex-students who have graduated from DJSCE and went on to pursue higher studies, either immediately after graduation or after gaining valuable work experience, the preferred areas/programmes for post-graduation were identified as:
