Electronics Engineering (Discontinued from A.Y. 2021-22)

Resources and facilities

Department of Electronics Engineering is spread over third floor of D. J. Sanghvi COE. The department has three spacious, air-conditioned class-rooms along-with ten very well-equipped laboratories for conduct of sessions in a learner conducive environment. All class rooms are multi-media enabled catering to conventional teaching methods as well as equipped with overhead projection screen, LCD projector and desktop computer. The acoustically designed class rooms are spacious and have ergonomically designed benches with enough seating capacity.

The laboratories are equipped with conventional as well as special equipment and apparatus which help in grooming and developing student's mind for obtaining practical solutions to a given problem. The department focuses on student development through projects and hence motivate students to involve in project development activity right from their second year of engineering. With this as view, the department has innovatively developed and implemented PCB making technique and trains students adequately on the relevant software tools for the same.

Some of the laboratories are:

  3. Communication and Signal Processing laboratory
  4. Power Electronics laboratory
  5. Analog and Digital Electronics laboratory
  6. BEE laboratory

Some of the equipment available in department laboratories are:

  1. CROs - Analog / Digital Storage
  2. Function Generators / Signal Generators
  3. Power Supplies
  4. Microwave Bench
  5. Logic Analyzer & Pattern Generator
  6. Spectrum Analyzer
  7. Color Pattern Generator
  8. Universal Programmer
  9. Analog & Digital IC Tester
  10. Dedicated hardware setup for MEMS experimentation
  11. LCR Q Meter etc.
  12. SMD Rework Station

Lab facilities developed in-house:

  1. x51 family based microcontroller trainer and development environment.
  2. Low Cost Module for Digital Design Experiments.
  3. PCB drilling machine.
  4. PCB etching machine.

All labs are equipped with state of the art infrastructure.

  1. Each Lab comprises of state of the art computing facility with seamless internet and intranet connectivity provided using wired and wire-less network.
  2. Each Lab is WiFi enabled for resource on demand and access to resources on Blackboard Software

The computational facilities available with department include:

  1. No. of Desktop Computers: - 72
  2. All computers are in LAN connections with internet facility
  3. 6 Access points (WiFi)
  4. 2 Laser Printer (network printer)
  5. 4 Scanner cum printer cum copier (network printer)
  6. 2 Laptops
  7. 3 LCD Projectors
