Dwarkadas. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering has started the course in CHEMICAL ENGINEERING , in 1994 with an intake of 60. This program is accredited by National Board of Accreditation with effect from the Academic Year 2012-13.

The department is having the state-of-the-art infrastructure, which includes fully airconditioned class rooms, laboratories, staff rooms and tutorial room. All the classrooms and laboratories are equipped with modern amenities such as OHP, multimedia projection, internet access during lectures. The college is also havingWireless Internet access for all the departments.

The department is having highly qualified, experienced and dedicated teaching and supporting staff having pursued their Masters and Doctorate degrees from topmost colleges of India including the IITs and ICT. Under the guidance of the management and principal the department is flourishing by leaps and bounds. It helped the department to attract not only meritorious students but also the rank holders in the first year admission done on the basis of their marks in HSC level and CET examination. The department is committed to excellence in teaching-learning process and pursuing research and development.

Program Specific Outcomes

The graduates of this program will be able to apply chemical engineering principles to design and operate chemical and process plants in a safe, economically viable and environmentally benign manner.

They will be able to analyse open-ended problems and carry out necessary experimentation to collect, interpret and scale-up data for design of new processes and products.

They will be able to use modern tools such as mathematical softwares and process simulators, and where necessary develop custom applications to meet industrial and academic needs.

They will be able to communicate and interact effectively in their profession maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.

They will be able to start and sustain new enterprises in chemical and allied fields.

In addition to the well-planned academic activities related to the classroom and the laboratory instructions, the department also encourages the staff members and students to arrange seminars, paper presentation on various topics of academic interest, arrange industrial visits, technical exhibition, summer/winter schools etc.

Various seminars, workshops, conferences and industrial visit are organized by the department throughout the year where the experts from the industries and other organizations guide the young talent and faculty. Dhaval is part of TTS Analyst Program at Citi, which provides him accelerated integral rotations into Citi's core businesses. He was consistently rated top of the batch for 2 years upon his joining Citi in 2015. He currently works at the Citigroup Global Headquarters in New York City.

Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business enables client success by providing an integrated suite of Cash Management and Trade Finance services to 99 of the Fortune Global 100 companies, 700 public sector entities, over 400 of the top 500 banks, 200 of the top 350 asset managers, and the top 10 insurance companies.
